Fujifilm: Colour technology history

In 1934 there is born the company that we know today as Fujifilm, with the official's name of Fuji Photo Film Co. That from a beginning proposed to be the first Japanese producer of photographic movies, being based on a plan of government to establish the national industry of manufacture of photographic movies. The new company inherited the operations of photographic movies that arose from Dainippon Celluloid Company Limited, other one of the companies in Japan. For it, during the following years they produced his efforts in this area and reaching the national output of photographic movies cinematographic movies and impression of the photographic movies in X-rays.
For the forties, Fuji Photo entered on the markets of the optical crystals, lenses and equipments, extending increasingly his commercial variety. This way, after the Second World War, the photographic company qualified inside other branches, getting in the sectors of the impression, of electronic images and of the magnetic materials together with the photography in X-rays. In 1962, Fuji Photo threw a joint venture (Fuji Xerox Co.) with the British company Rank Xeroz Limted, known nowadays as Xerox Limited.

From 1950, the principal aim of this company was to throw internationally his brand Fujifilm, for that reason, it accelerated glaringly the establishment of the bases of international sales and expanded the production abroad, beginning in North America with the foundation of the company Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc. In 1965 (nowadays FUJIFILM U.S.A., Inc.), with the purpose of managing in an integral way the commercial activities in North America. Later, in 1966 Fuji Photo established in Düsseldorf (Germany) the company Film Europa GmbH and likewise, to manage the commercial activities of the European continent. 
Some years later in 1982, the company was constituted Fuji Photo Film B.V (nowadays FUJIFILM Manufacturing Europe B.V) in Netherlands, as the principal manufacturing plant of the Group Fujifilm in Europe. In the subsequent years, Fujifilm installed different points in different places of the world, with varied functions, some of these places were South Carolina (The) (United States) in 1988, later in 1995 Suzhou (China), in 1996 Hong Kong (China), in 2005 United Kingdom, in 2008 Russia, in 2009 Hungary, in 2010 Dubai, in 2011 Ukraine, Indonesia, Vietnam and Korea, in 2012 South Africa, Morocco, Turkey, The Philippines and Australia, in 2013 Colombia and Panama.
These corporate centers, they had great impact to do that the company Fujifilm was spreading all over the world, it accelerated the pace of the globalization of his business, by which it is known nowadays worldwide. In addition, Fuji Photo led the industry in the development of the digital technologies in his application in the companies related to the photography, medicine and impression, all of them
allowed that the company should turn into a driving power for the development of these markets. With the support of hundreds of companies worldwide that rely on manufacturing plants of supports of recording, dedicated to the commercialization of materials for the graphical arts, that they take charge of the commercial national operations of four of the principal distributors of photographic products to unify the commercial national operations of the Group Fujifilm, which expand his commercial operations of inks for impression in silk-screen printing, and inks for industrial printers with injection of ink, feeder industries of property, dedicated to the sale of industrial compresses with injection of ink, dedicated to the information systems of diagnosis for images in the area of the cardiology, concentrated in the operations of administration and of human resources, dedicated to the system development of photographic services on line, dedicated to the information systems for the area of the radiology, distributors of his medical products and of images, subsidiaries, which they develop, make and bandage biosimilars, and since already it is known also representative in the already mentioned countries.


From the beginning of 2000, the advance of the technology was more that evident, and for this, the company Fuji Photo adapted a system of holding company and the FUJIFILM established Holding companies corporation, promoting structural reforms in his two companies FUJIFILM Corporation and Fuji Xerox, in the segment of solutions of images and the strategies of growth in the priority areas of business. With this, a strong improvement was achieved in the performance of the company and obviously also of income until today.
