Fujifilm Colour Technology by Alexandra Cristancho Pineda




The Fujifilm Holdings Corporation most known as just "Fujifilm" it’s a multinational photography company. It’s from Japan and this company started in 1934 with the vision of become in the best producer and distributor of photographic films. They are in different markets in technologyfor example the production of digital cameras,color film, color paper and equipment and materials. Fujifilm works in more than 220 subsidiary companies for research, manufacture and distribution of products in this continents: Asia, Europe and North America. They also produce products for storage media for computers.



Also, Fujifilm is technogical leadership in the indsutry of cinema, analog and digital photography, photo, medical systems  and recording media services, They have a lot of factories like Netherlands, Germany and USA.

So lets see how was  the corporate  history of this succesful corporation of technology:

First was the creation of the Fabric Odwara  in 1939 
  • in 1944 the conversation between Enomoto Manufacturing and Photo Optical co started for made commercial operations, this agreement generate  the FUJINON company the responsable  of photography lens 

  • in 1946 oficially starts the company of Fuji color photo co. that the name was changed in 1953 for Fujicolor service co that it's a line of negative films. 
  • in 1963 Fujinomiya Factory was made 
  • 1965 the Fuji Photo Film U.S.A established in New York for manage the whole  business in North America. 
  • 1966 Fuji Photo Film establishedin Dusseldorf for manage the business in Europe
  • 1982 Fujifilm wins the Oscar and an Emmy for the technical of the high speed film A250. And just two year later they introduces for the second time in history the most sensitive film of the world (Fujicolor AX) 

  • 1984 The fujifilm corp wanted  dominate the U,S market but then they realized that Kodak  has their monopoly there. So in this year an oportunity  that Kodak passed on was the chance for Fuji to be more  popular in the market of U.S and they did. 
  • 1986 Fuji introduced the disposable camera. Also called for so many people "Single-use cameras".

  • 1988 Fujifilm introduces the first series of films negative in the world.  The series Fujicolor Negative f-series, made by 6 sensibilities. Also in this year  the currently Fujifilm Manufacturing U.S.A, inc  based in South Carolina as the Fujifilm group's principal manufacturing company in the U.S. Moreover Fuji Photo expanded the production to other areas, making faster the business globalization and they developed digital technologies for medical and printing businesses.
  • 2001 U.S.-based Enovation Graphic Systems, Inc. (a graphic arts materials marketing company, currently FUJIFILM Graphic Systems U.S.A, Inc.), established
  • In 2003 Acquired additional shares in Process Shizai Co., Ltd., (currently FUJIFILM Graphic Systems Co., Ltd.), transforming that company into a consolidated subsidiary
  • 2004 FUJIFILM Battery Co that merged into FUJIFILM AXIA  Ltd.
    In the same year FUJIFILM IMAGING Co Ltd established. Fujicolor Imaging Service Co Ltd, and FUJIFILM AXIA Co, Ltd, become into the new company, which also took over the marketing operations of four major photographic product distributors to unify the Fujifilm group's working for solutions of marketing operations. 
  • 2005   U.K.-based Sericol Group Limited (currently FUJIFILM Sericol Limited), a company with expanding operations in screen printing inks, packaging printing inks, and industrial-use inkjet printers 
  • 2006 Fujifilm group shifted to a holding company structure centering on the holding company FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation, which controls both the group's two largest companies — FUJIFILM Corporation and Fuji Xerox. 
  • 2007Established FUJIFILM Business Expert Corporation and concentrated the administrative and human resource operations. Headquarters functions of FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation, FUJIFILM Corporation, and Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. relocated to the Tokyo Midtown Building
  • 2010 FUJIFILM USA, Inc. and FUJIFILM Graphic Systems U.S.A. Inc. integrated to form FUJIFILM North America Corporation
  • 2012  SonoSite, a pioneer and leader in bedside and point-of-care ultrasound technology Acquired the Business Process Outsourcing division of Australia's largest business service provider, Salmat Limited
  • 2013 In this year was the first appearance  of a Fuji store in Colombia, "FUJIFILM COLOMBIA S.A.S"  as a subsidiariy in Colombia
